A plastic surgeon is a medical doctor who reconstructs and repairs physical defects in all areas of the body, including the skin and skeletal system. Physical defects might be caused by nature, illness or an accident. However, many patients seek the assistant of a plastic surgeon simply out of vanity. This professional works to improve the cosmetic appearance of patient.

Education:

The path to becoming a plastic surgeon is a long and demanding one. Students must complete many levels of training and education, beginning with obtaining a bachelor's degree in a pre-medical major, such as biology or chemistry. They then must enter medical school.

Oriental medicine practitioners use forms of acupuncture and treatment through the Chinese concept of “qi,” which means energy. Oriental medicine treats a variety of ailments including headaches, back pain, arthritis, or other illnesses by identifying patterns of imbalance within a body’s energy levels and working to readjust fluids or tissues in order to keep the body in balance and relieve pain. Oriental medicine techniques include acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, and herbal supplements that are applied to specific body parts or tissues. Practitioners must be able to evaluate a patient’s symptoms and identify what organs or tissues are causing the ailment, and come up with a customized plan that incorporates oriental herbs and practices into a treatment. Acupuncture treatments involve the use of needles being placed in joints and tissues.

Education:

Education and training requirements vary state to state for becoming an oriental medicine practitioner. Some practitioners are licensed to be a physician’s assistant and then take classes to become certified in oriental medicine. Most practitioners earn a Bachelor’s degree in biology or another medical related field, then go on to fill state requirements for practicing oriental medicine. Most states require students to work as an intern or apprentice for a specific number of hours in order to qualify for certification, and then have them take an examination to become certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Obedience
Obedience means to follow an order or law. Compliance, acquiescence, and tractability are all synonyms of obedience. To be obedient would be to follow school rules and laws. To follow directions given to you by your parents.

Duties
Each branch of the military has different needs and entrance requirements for medical professionals. However, one requirement all four military branches share is the physical health standards. Any minor physical weakness, or deviation, from the slightest vision or hearing impairment to flat-footedness, could disqualify you for acceptance into the military. Additionally, you would have to pass physical fitness tests and endurance tests as well. The standards do vary slightly amongst the branches, but generally the requirements are very strict.

Education:
To qualify for an officer appointment in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, you must:
Meet the prescribed medical and moral standards for appointment as a commissioned officer
Be a U.S. citizen
Be a graduate of an American Medical Association or American Osteopathic Association accredited medical school
Have a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States

Be 21 - 46 years of age (physicians 47 years of age or older may apply for an age waiver)

Reflection: Without a good health you won't be able to do or accomplish the things you truly desire. A good health is what helps you get out of bed in the morning and helps you walk.
Duties
Sports physicians treat musculoskeletal injuries that occur as a result of participation in sports, such as knee and shoulder injuries, ankle sprains, head injuries, tendonitis and fractures. Additionally, primary care sports physicians may treat chronic health conditions that can affect athletic performance, such as asthma and diabetes. Sports physician counsel athletes, helping them maximize performance, prevent injuries and lead a healthy lifestyle. They may suggest supplements, diet plans or exercise regimens to address performance issues. They may also help athletes with psychological or substance abuse issues related to sports. Sports physicians collaborate with physical therapists, athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals to plan courses of treatment and rehabilitation for their patients.

Education:

Undergraduate students interested in becoming sports physicians should take courses in chemistry, organic chemistry, physics and biology. An undergraduate degree is generally required for medical school. It is also important for undergraduate students to participate in extracurricular activities and demonstrate leadership abilities in order to be competitive applicants for medical school. After completing their undergraduate education, aspiring sports physicians must complete four years of medical school. They must then pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) before they may practice medicine.

Reflection: This means to always choose the right no matter what the consequences may be for doing so, just as long as you do the right thing. For example if you see somebody doing drugs and they offer you, you should say no. They might tease you but at least you chose the right.
Duties:
Wellness specialists work for schools, local governments, companies or other organizations to suggest, support and train people on their health and fitness goals. The types of concerns are as varied as weight and diabetes prevention and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. A specialist often consults with people directly on lifestyle, eating and exercise habits and may direct an individual to a doctor for any serious health concerns.

Education:
Wellness specialists research their audience and topics to address specific concerns for that audience. They must be able to communicate well and have a personality that can motivate people to make changes in their lifestyles. Some wellness specialists work in a specific area such as healthy eating habits or stress management techniques. They should be highly knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. A specialist has to be a good orator, able to capture an audience's attention and inspire change

A career as a dental hygienist offers a wide range of challenges. In the dental office, the dentist and the dental hygienist work together to meet the oral health needs of patients. Since each state has its own specific regulations regarding their responsibilities, the range of services performed by hygienists varies from state to state.

Dental hygienists receive their education through academic programs at community colleges, technical colleges, dental schools or universities. The majority of community college programs take at least two years to complete, with graduates receiving associate degrees.
